As part of our local area study, Year 3 went on a walk of Hedworth to find the physical and human features. We used our map skills to follow a route and then when back in the classroom, we added the features found on our own map and key.

Year 4 were thrilled to be back learning outdoors today and the sun shone for us. A great day on the farm.
Year 4 investigated the flowering plant today using our microscopes.
Year 4 have been learning how to read semibreve musical notation.
They worked very hard to keep the 4 beat time, the concentration was electric !

Year 5 using concrete representations of bar models to support converting between improper fractions and mixed numbers. We knew that we had to look at the denominator to help us understand how many parts were in each whole.

Year 5 guided reading group enjoying classic texts and practising reading with fluency and expression. We know to check for meaning as we are reading out loud and self correct if we need to.
