Year 4 have enjoyed a day at Jarrow Hall doing a Stone Age Workshop. We have made our own bread, cloth, clay drinking cups, an axe and we also learnt how to travel safely if we were moving settlements.
This term Year 4 are learning about the Stone Age, In art we have experimented with charcoal to create online drawings of animals found in the British countryside.
We have also created our very own textured paper to create our cave wall designs on.
Today Year 6 ambassadors attended the Rememberance Day Service at the Monkton Cenotaph.
The children laid a Wreath and displayed some beautiful art work that they had created.
We will remember them.

Today our School Councillors acted as Ambassors of our school when they visited Calf Close Home to present some gifts and well wishes to the residents.
As part of our local area study, Year 3 went on a walk of Hedworth to find the physical and human features. We used our map skills to follow a route and then when back in the classroom, we added the features found on our own map and key.
