Nursery was filled with lots of excitement this morning when a very special visitor arrived
The children helped to find the missing eggs and were rewarded with a very tasty treat
Yesterday our Reception children had lots of Easter excitement. They took part in their egg colouring competition, engaged in an egg hunt and enjoyed a special surprise visit
.
Everyone exchanged their egg hunt eggs with the Easter Bunny for a scrumptious chocolate egg.
Our children said “This is the best day ever!”
Y3 joined our Y3 Valley View friends for a Last Supper to end our RE topic today. They broke and shared bread and ‘wine’ (blackcurrant juice). They had a great time doing activities together. Federation fun!
Thank you to all of our Nursery parents and carers for attending our stay and play events. It was lovely to share our outdoor learning with you

Yesterday, we were lucky enough to get a visit from Helen from Sustran Travel to talk to us about how walking or wheeling (on our bikes, scooters or skateboards) to school not only helps our health but the planet
Today year 3 and LU student councillors attended the Town Hall with our friends from Valley View.
The children found out what qualities make a good leader, they then took part in a democratic election!
The children were amazing ambassadors for our school! Well done everyone
Although the sun was shinning, the wind was crazy but that didn’t stop our Year 4s taking part in bike-ability today!
They have a full day of learning about bike safety, how to balance on their bike, signal and stop using their brakes correctly.
They practiced riding around obstacles , taking one hand off the handlebars while still riding carefully, the importance of looking over their shoulder for dangers and even took part in a race where the winner was the slowest cyclist!!!
Throughout the session, they all demonstrated our school values of respect, responsibility, engagement and most importantly resilience.
Congratulations Year 4 – happy cycling and remember to ride safely.
Wowsers Trousers! What a beautiful afternoon our Reception have had at their Forest School stay and play.
Our lovely families have enjoyed transient art, creating mud cakes, leaf butterflies, sharing non-fiction texts, bird watching, minibeast hunting, planting, exploring frogspawn in our new pond and lots of other lovely activities.
Thank you for coming and creating precious memories with our little ones.

Our student council met today to discuss, how they can improve playtimes.
The council invited Mr Hamilton, vice chair of the governing board to hear their proposals.
Great work everyone! Mr Hamilton was very impressed!
