Great demonstration of citizenship!
Already student council have been pulling together as a team! The children wanted a sandpit, so the student council made them one! Well done everyone, you demonstrated; resilience, engagement and responsibility and you are respected for your achievements!
This week the children have been learning about democracy. They have written manifestos, delivered inspiring speeches and voted!
Today Year 2 enjoyed Beach School! We created sculptures using sand, used tools and moulded wet and dry sand to create different scultpures. After that, we went Rockpooling and found shrimps, crabs, limpets and mussels. Thank you Nancy from Shields Surf School for helping us explore the rockpools and explaining why the crab we found was soft and larger than the exoskeleton. What a wonderful day! 
We are very proud to share that we have received The FAB Award! Together, with other schools and colleges in South Tyneside, we showcased the amazing work we do in school everyday to promote positive relationships and show kindness in our community. On behalf of everyone at Hedworthfield, our Year 6 representatives did the most amazing job sharing our work. We are gushing with pride that our children were able to speak confidently to a wide audience from schools and colleges to local MPs and representatives from South Tyneside Council.
Wow, our amazing Year 1 and language unit 1 children had a fabulous trip to the Urban Factory this week.
The children loved learning new skills especially team work.
Well done everyone you were all superstars.
