Stay and Play has been SPOOKTACULAR!We had a fantastic time making bubbling potions, smashing jellied brains, bowling ghost skittles and exploring out outdoor area.
Then inside we decorated biscuits (which we had baked!), painting, decorating and glitzing up pumpkins! Again the children could show their grown ups different areas of our Nursery. We had so much fun!
A huge thank you to all of our families for coming and joining in the fun!
Today our wonderful school council met a representative from Macmillan and Cllr G Kilgour into school for tea and cake.
The lady from Macmillan thanked our school for raising money for Macmillan on 24 September when we held our annual cake sale.
The children were amazing ambassadors! Well done for showing how much our school community care.
Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their visit from an artist today. We learned how to use watercolours effectively to create rainforest plants in the style of Henri Rousseau.
Year 6 are out of this world!

Fantastic colour mixing and art skills shown as the children recreated Henri Rousseaus painting ‘Surprised’
Year 3 have been working super hard on their art skills. We have been painting, sketching, mixing colours and using water and paint to create washes. All of our art work has been based on our topic of Rainforests. The children have been working and using their skills to create a final piece of art work inspired by our artist, Henri Rousseau. We are impressed with how well the children have been working in Year 3 and cannot wait to see the final pieces of artwork that they have created!
Year 2 children have loved their art topic all about Jackson Pollock. We practised being action painters and practised using different skills to create abstract art.
