Year 4 have been learning how to read semibreve musical notation.
They worked very hard to keep the 4 beat time, the concentration was electric !
Today in Year 4s science lesson the children moved on to investigating the effects more batteries or bulbs had on the brightness of the bulbs. The children planned and carried out the experiment independently. They used their knowledge of circuits to check why things werent working and worked well as a team to share responsibilities and solve problems.
A Great day in Year 4 as the children successfully made circuits using lots of different components.
We made lovley community links with Calf Close residential home last year when pupils from our choir visited the residents to sing Christmas songs.
This year the children participated in the Hearts for Home project. Each child designed a heart with a personal message of kindness or Seasons greeting!
Today members of our school council, delivered the hearts to our friends and wished them a Happy Christmas!

Making our own fossil to help us to understand the fossilisation process.
We designed and built Stone Age homes using our knowledge of the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic time periods. We are so proud of the detail we put into our builds as we showed how they lived as we build the scene around the homes.
