Some lovely photos of our recent stay and play session in Reception.
As part of our Winter and Christmas events, Reception enjoyed a Winter Wonderland trip to West Boldon Lodge. The children took part in elf activities, hunting for Christmas jigsaw pieces in the woodland. They then enjoyed a marshmallow by the fire and warmed up inside with a cup of hot chocolate. They then decorated a Christmas bauble and helped Santa unload the sleigh. Our visit ended with a very magical visit to see Santa.
Reception Parents and carers joined us in class to learn about how we teach reading through phonics.
They took part in a phonics lesson, supporting their children with a new letter sound. They then explored the classroom to apply their phonics through play.
