Today our School Councillors acted as Ambassors of our school when they visited Calf Close Home to present some gifts and well wishes to the residents.
Children from Valley View and Hedworthfield Primary Schools produced some stunning art work to commerate Remembrance Day 2020.
The art work was placed at the Cenotaph in Monkton Village.
We will remember them.
ARB1 Children made their school very proud today by doing a litter pick on our local beach. As a reward the children then went searching for hidden treasures!
Year 1 and Year 2 smashed their winter performance delivering a perfect show for their grown ups. The audience was spellbound by their beautiful singing, acting and outstanding narration!
Wow! Early years blew everyone away with their magnificent performance of Whoops a Daisy Angel. It was hard to believe that the children were only age 3 -5 years old. the show stole the audience hearts!
Year 3 and 4 gave the most amazing, spell bounding performance of Gabriel’s Big Break. Cllr Alan Smith, who attended the performance, on behalf of the governing board, was speechless, he told everyone it was the best show that he had ever seen!
Our newly elected school council from Valley View and Hedworthfield were welcomed by the Deputy Mayor for a tour of the Town Hall in South Shields this week.
The children learned about the history of the Town Hall, they created their own school crest, they participated in a very challenging question time and took a vote on whether to ban homework or not !
It was a great visit, our school council were amazing ambassadors for our schools.
Thank you so much to the Town Hall staff, Deputy Mayor and Councillors who made us feel so welcome.
We had a visit from the Dog Trust today, The children learned about how dogs have feelings and how we would approach a dog to keep us safe and not to distress the dog.
