We’re making bird feeders for our garden birds. We’ve used some bought ones from the shop to learn what to do. Now we’re collecting bottles and cartons to make our own!
We can now make them independently. Amazing skills by our Nursery children.

We have been exploring the Nursery areas and sharing with our friends. All of the staff are so proud of the children, they are helping and beginning to share independently. Well done boys and girls!
Today we celebrated our first Nursery birthday! We had a wonderful morning singing happy birthday and making birthday cakes to share. Our birthday boy chose to make a banana flavoured cake. We had to use our big muscles to mash the bananas and whisk the mixture together. We then shared them. They were DELICIOUS!
Last week the children in our Early Years went on their visit to Scotswood Community Garden. Thank you to the grown ups who came along to help; we couldn’t do it without you! The session was aimed at supporting children’s understanding of the world they live in and seasonal change. During the visit children learnt about how some animals, like hedgehogs, hibernate in the winter. The children worked hard to use Autumn leaves and branches to build a nest for a hedgehog – the main aim was to keep the hedgehog warm. The children had a fabulous time and, as always, demonstrated our school values: respect, resilience, responsibility and engagement.
Early Words Together Session 3. Children enjoyed listening to the story ‘we are going on a bear hunt’ then worked with their grown ups. Activities included a pencil control activity, sticking and sorting shapes to make there own bear and designing, colouring and cutting their own bear
