Representing Hedworthfield Primary some of our school councillors, attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony at Monkton Cenotaph.
Members of the student council presented a wreath, on behalf of the school and displayed some art work, that the chilkdren had produced to show their respect.
The children have taken part in class elections. They wrote a manifesto and presented their ideas to their classmates. We discussed the UK voting system and British values before attending our very own Polling Station to vote.
The successful candidates were announced by our special guests Cllr G Kilgour and Cllr J Potts.
Well done everyone!
Today our student council planted an apple tree in our Forest School. So we can always remember The Queen’s Platium Jubilee we also placed a commerative plaque next to the tree.
Year 6 experienced TinkerCad today at The Word in South Shields. This was a design and Technology lesson which involved creating 3D models. The best 3 models will then be created and printed using a 3D printer. We will be using some additional lessons this term to complete our designs. Who will be the winner?
