Week Beginning 23rd March 2019:
Spring
Easter or spring tree
Celebrate the arrival of spring by creating a mini tree for your home
Materials required:
- Secateurs, scissors or a saw
- A small branch
- A small log or vase or some playdough or a plant pot
- Decorations of your choice
Method: Find a branch that you like – it can have buds, leaves or catkins on it. You can make your own holder, plant pot with mud or you can place your branch in a vase. Then make the decorations – they could be birds as pictured, clay eggs, mini nests or flowers.
Our Community Officer PC Talbot, and Police Community Support Officer Caroline, came to visit Early Years today! They talked about lots of different ways that the police help us. We got to look at their police car, speak on the police radio and some of us even wanted to try on the police uniform!
Reception went on a school trip to Scotswood Community Garden, When they came back to school they made a hedgehog house and some hedgehog shaped biscuits to share with the whole school!
My name is Shadow and I am a special member of staff at Hedworthfield Primary. You can see me pictured here with Cllr Alan Smith and some of our wonderful pupils.
I have my own kennel and private garden space in the amazing Additional Resource Base in school.
I help the children with their speech and language. I am also excellent at regulating the children’s behaviour and emotions when they need me.
I love to looking after the children at Hedworthfield Primary and being a really good friend on four legs !
Our Children love Shadow when asked they said he was “cute” “really good ” so valuable” and an amazing addition to have in school”
