Welcome to week 2 of home learning. We are sharing our lessons for the week with you today and have kept it as simple to follow as possible. If you finish your work, you can always try Reading Plus, IXL, Mathletics or Purple Mash. You do not need to wait for us to assign additional activities. Thank you for your support so far. Week 4 Monday 29th June
Wow! What a week! Miss Sparks has spent most of lock down cycling around the North-East but had a pretty bad crash last Friday and has broken her shoulder! Mrs Arthur, also a keen cyclist, went out on her bike two days later and has a broken collar bone! The Y5/ Y6 team will be staying away from bicycles in the future months!!! We are both ok and look forward to catching up with you all soon!

This week we are going to set you kindness challenges for you to try and complete. We would also love you to share with us the various different ways you are showing kindness at home. We know you already show kindness in your lives and some of the challenges will be things you already do; we just want to emphasise the importance and spread kindness across our families.

Happy Easter Holidays!
We hope you can relax and have some fun over the holidays. We know it will feel a little bit different but hopefully it won’t be long until things return back to normal. We will not be setting any work over the holidays – have fun and relax. Why not try making these delicious Easter Nests?
To make chocolate nests:
- Add 100g of butter, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 50g milk chocolate buttons and 75g of golden syrup in a bowl.
- Microwave on high for 1.5mins and mix together.
- Crumble 4 Shredded Wheat over the bowl and mix with rest of ingredients.
- Place a generous spoonful in each of 12 bun case (the nests).
- Press the centre of each nest down slightly to form a dip and place 3 chocolate mini eggs in each dip.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
If you do want to do something, remember you can still use Reading Plus, IXL (new passwords), TTRS or Mathletics but we won’t be setting any work for you.
Have a good Easter and if you decorate an egg, don’t forget to send us a picture on the school Facebook page.
